For XC sure, but most of the time i prefer to be comfortable when MTB'ing. Also skinsuits are expensive and that makes wrecking costly (physically and financially).
I use the freewheel and my voice most of the time. A simple "Coming by on your left" works pretty well. If that doesn't work out then their headphones are up too loud and wont hear me anyway.
