Nice! I do freelance writing for a few hiking blogs. I've written for Terrain Magazine a few times. I'm also the community manager for Copyblogger.com which is a big copywriting blog. Those are side gigs Copy is fun!

They contacted me because of my hiking "fame." But you could just contact them out of the blue (cold call) by email or something and pitch your idea. It's good to have an idea to pitch and some examples.
