I work as a mechanic on several bike tours. While tubeless can benefit some mountain bike racers, these are pretty unnecessary for the average rider.
Much easier to fix flats with a tube and way less mess. I’ve warned riders on my tours that if they are riding tubeless, they need to be able to fix it themselves.
Tubeless solves a problem that doesn’t exist.
