Mountain biking in the summer means heat, humidity, potential rain, snakes, ticks, bug, and ESPECIALLY spider webs.

Can you stomach mountain biking in the summer months?

Out of everything, what do you hate the most about it?

I enjoy it if we go early enough in the day to avoid the heat. The ticks are the worst part for me. I've only ran into 1 snake on a mtb trail before, but i ran into one on the road a few times, most recently this past saturday.

What kind of snake?

Well the knee jerk reaction was a copperhead, but tbh I don't 100% know. We were doing over 20 mph past it and it was golden/copper in color. I wasn't about to stop and find out.
Probably a copperhead. I see a lot of them on the Tunnel Hill Trail. Saw a huge one the other day along with a mud snake. Had to stop for both of them LOL but I'm a snake guy!
