I'm actually hosting a Ride Illinois bike ride the 20th at Tunnel Hill. 10 mile no drop.

I also really want a cycling computer. I can't decide if I want to get the Garmin 840 or the 1050. I want something touchscreen and with color. The 1050 has a lot of cool features but it's not very cheap.

Probably a copperhead. I see a lot of them on the Tunnel Hill Trail. Saw a huge one the other day along with a mud snake. Had to stop for both of them LOL but I'm a snake guy!

Yesterday: 19 miles 331' elevation gain 13 mph avg speed Tunnel Hill Trail Got stung several times in the finger by a yellow jacket caught up in my glove!!

Do you take your bike to the mechanic if you need it worked on or do you repair it yourself?

The chafe is real for some of us. If I ride over 60 miles, I have to apply a lubricant to my chamois or I'll be in some pain! I use Chammy Butt'r and love it. What do you use? Anything better I should be using?

What cycling events are you looking forward to for 2025? This could be races, organized rides, or even cycling trips you have planned!

What is on your "to buy" or "wish I could buy" list for cycling? I'd love to get a new mountain bike and a couple of eBikes for fun riding for me and wife. How about you? Doesn't have to be a bike. Could be a bike product :)

I think those spots would be a great start. Of course, I'm hoping to eventually get into more "wild camping" on the bike. I've considered trying to bikepack around Ozark area and riding to Jackson Falls and camping there.
