Would you be a cycling content creator?

I tried for a while. The slow spiral of death my computer is facing makes it hard to edit videos and my lack of desire to run a camera on every ride are the main reasons i struggle with it.

Do you try to be faster cyclist?

I'm always working on being a faster cyclist. It allows you to go further in the same time frame, and thus allowing you to see more. During races I have 2 mantras: "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast" and "you're only losing if you stop pedaling" That is the best way a new cyclist can get...

    Bibs vs. Non-Bibs

Dont worry they roll down on me too. I have the same problem as lots of women in terms of jeans. If they fit my thighs, they're loose around the hips/waist.

The State of the Southern Illinois Cycling Scene

I watched that video as well. I don't think the interest in riding is down, the boys over at @Bike Surgeon SOIL are never bored. More people riding = more people breaking things = more repairs. I think people are more risk adverse and tbf, most of the cyclist in the area are not high...

One of my buddies i race CX with in STL is selling me a wheelset for $100. They're not great but they roll.

    Handlebar tape

Depends on how muddy it is really. If it's dry and you don't crash a lot, bar tape can last years. On the other-hand all my bikes have ripped bar tape because i wreck from time to time while racing.

    Tubeless

I spent so long on tubes and was super lucky. When i moved to Lexington I had tons of issues. Then when I moved back to southern Illinois i went tubeless and i wont be back on tubes.

I'm not a picture taker in general. My wife hates it.

    Trek Checkmate

Why are there no low-budget options? There is no option for us that are broke.

    Bike care

I'm so bad about this. I use household degreasers and cleaners on the bike. Dawn and some spray thing my wife has. I will do this for all my bikes that are on chain lube. Full clean with brushed and get the drivetrain looking good enough to eat off of. The road bike has a waxed chain. So i'm a...
