Tubeless or Tube?

Which are you and why?

Does it matter for the type of bike / riding you'll be doing?

Tubeless on everything! Lower daily maintanence, higher quarterly

I work as a mechanic on several bike tours. While tubeless can benefit some mountain bike racers, these are pretty unnecessary for the average rider.

Much easier to fix flats with a tube and way less mess. I’ve warned riders on my tours that if they are riding tubeless, they need to be able to fix it themselves.

Tubeless solves a problem that doesn’t exist.

Tubeless for those not working on bike and tubed for those who have to work on them haha

I can't count the number of times i've come home from a ride (gravel, road, mtb) and the seat tube is speckled in sealant. Without being tubeless i would 100% flatted and had to end my ride earlier than expected. The lower pressures allowed by tubeless benefit everyone, especially those of us who struggle to get the bike turned on dir.

Yeah. I got to admit, having rode with tubes for so long, I changed a tube like once a month. Now I never have to do that! I like not having to do that LOL

I spent so long on tubes and was super lucky. When i moved to Lexington I had tons of issues. Then when I moved back to southern Illinois i went tubeless and i wont be back on tubes.

I had my first road bike for like 3 years - never got a flat.

After I bought my second road bike, it was flat after flat, like once a month!

Tubeless is like being spoiled!!

Tubeless and waxed chains. The best move for the cycling industry in a while.
