I rode 40 miles in this kit yesterday. It was pretty hot. I found the bibs to be super soft and comfortable. The breathed well and kept me cool the entire ride. The jersey was also very breathable and cool.
The bibs didn't seem transparent, but they are thin.
Thus far, I definitely recommend this kit.
