For those of you with road and gravel bikes, how often do you replace your handlebar tape?

Do you prefer a specific brand and if so, why?

Do you wrap them or have a bike shop do it?

Usually about once a season. I honestly really like the Zipp service course road tape. It seems to be more durable than the lizard skins (which are super comfy, but they wouldn't last a cx season).

Depends on how muddy it is really. If it's dry and you don't crash a lot, bar tape can last years. On the other-hand all my bikes have ripped bar tape because i wreck from time to time while racing.

Mine typically wear out due to sweat. I sweat a lot. It tends to wear stuff out.
