I know this is a forum about southern Illinois...

BUT...

Aside from this area, what other states and regions within those states do you like riding in? Why?

I spend several weeks each summer in Wisconsin either riding or working bike tours.

Two very good groups conduct rides:

www.pedalacrosswisconsin.com

Bike Wisconsin tours are camping based while PAW rides are hotel based.

Great routes and a lot cooler weather than Southern Illinois in the summer.
