Around Shelby Road, where the trail goes under HWY-45, the tornado crossed the trail.

I was told that the section is closed today, and the trail crew is working on clearing it up.

We drove on 45 where the path was -- it's absolutely horrible looking. Very sad for those who lost their homes.

Oh man, we were super concerned. Didn't realize anything actually touched down.

Yeah. It tracked for about 15 miles as an EF-2. A friend of mine lost most of his roof, and neighbors down the road lost their entire homes. It's a miracle no one died.

Just saw some video of the devastation down there. I knew there were warnings down that way but did not hear how serious it was until I saw some posts on you tube. This is going to be an active spring this year. Definitely in like a lion! Prayers for all those affected.

Yeah. I'm wondering if it will be severe this season.

I worry about cuts to the weather service, too. I don't want to get political, but we need that stuff, especially for us in the country that don't have access to so many resources like city folk do.
